Why do you need my Postman API key?
API Keys allow trusted external applications such as Cosmo to retrieve and display your Postman data to you.
Currently, Postman does not support OAuth authentication flows, so an API key is the only way for Cosmo to retreive and display your information.
How is my API key stored / used?
Your Postman API key is a sensitive peice of information and we treat it with the sensitivity it deserves.
Once entered, the key is stored on your device in encrypted storage, and is never sent to any server for storage or logging purposes.
With each request to Postman, the API key is attached to the request headers and sent directly from the application to the Postman servers.
Is my API response data stored on any servers?
No. We understand request and response bodies may contain sensitive information, so Cosmo will never store or log any raw request or response body data.
Furthermore, your Postman collection and environment data is never stored.
How can I delete my account?
If you wish to permanently delete your account, follow these steps:
- If you wish, forget your API key in the Profile page to remove the key from your device.
- Send an email to help@fetchcosmo.com with your request to delete your account.
- Within 48 hours, your account will be deleted.
- If you wish to sign-in again in the future, you may. A brand new user account will be created for you.
